Holà !
After writing an article about fashion, I'm back with an article about a subject I looooove... FOOD ! The foodaddict that I am and is always looking for new recipes and latest tips to please me! However, being a student, you sometimes have to adapt to an apartment not as well equipped as a starred restaurant. And then you don't necessarily have time to prepare a feast because you still have files to hand in and exams to pass!
So today I offer you my version of the brunch, a quick version, easy to make but above all very tasty! I'll give you economical but also balanced recipes that I'm sure you'll enjoy!
— Scrambled eggs in the microwave —
Who says brunch, says sweet but above all salty! For me, it's impossible to make a brunch without eggs! Here are my recipes for microwave scrambled eggs, we say goodbye to frying pan dishes, and we enjoy our eggs made on the fly!
Ingredients for one person:
- 2/3 eggs
- Cooking soy (or crème fraîche)
- shredded cheese
- salt
- pepper
- oregano
you can customize your scrambled eggs, a few ideas:
- Italian-style: sun-dried tomatoes, raw ham, pesto.
- country style: ham on the bone, mushrooms
- Spanish style: chorizo, cherry tomatoes
Recipe:
- Break the eggs in a microwave-safe bowl and beat them.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl, taking care to cut your pieces of ham, sundried tomatoes, etc. into small pieces. Mix again.
- Cook the eggs in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring the eggs once.
- Repeat the last operation 2 times.
And voilà, in 2 minutes you have great scrambled eggs!
— Avocado toast with fried eggs in the microwave —
A must for brunch, it's obviously the avocado toast! My little extra is to add a fried egg on top and a slice of cheese underneath, and then it's just delicious!
For the eggs:
Yes yes yes, you read well it is possible to make these fried eggs without a frying pan! And there is nothing easier than that.
Ingredients:
- Eggs
- salt
- pepper
- spices and herbs of your choice
Recipe:
- Break the eggs on a plate.
- Season the eggs to your liking.
- Cover the plate with perforated plastic film.
- Cook the eggs for 1 minute in the microwave on full power.
The avocado toast:
While your eggs are cooking in the microwave, make a very quick guacamole by crushing an avocado with lemon, salt, pepper and fresh herbs if you have.
Take a slice of bread that you toast in a toaster and put a slice of cheese on top.
Put a good spoonful of guacamole and put your eggs on your toast!
— Express applesauce in the microwave —
If there's one thing I miss about being in Scotland, it's applesauce... it's a real treat. Can't find sugar-free, not too industrial applesauce in Glasgow. So the solution when an irrepressible craving for applesauce arises is to prepare it in 5 minutes in the microwave.
Ingredients:
- 2 apples
- Water
- Cinnamon
- Sugar according to preference
Recipe:
- Peel and chop the apples into large pieces.
- Place the apple pieces in a small microwave-safe container.
- Add two tablespoons of water, it will help the apples to stew.
- Cover the container with plastic film
- Cook the apples in the microwave for at least 5 minutes on full power.
For a slightly finer compote, you can use a fork to mash the pieces.
— Bowl-cake with oatmeal and banana —
This is one of my favourite recipes for a hearty but super gourmet brunch! A healthy breakfast cake ready in 3 minutes, we all say yes!
Ingredients:
- 40 grams of oat flakes
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 spoons or soup of milk
- honey (or agave syrup, maple syrup)
- toppings of your choice: chocolate chips, red fruits, kiwi fruit, cinnamon, slivered almonds, grated coconut, ...
Recipe :
- Mash the banana in a bowl with a fork.
- Add the egg and milk and mix until you obtain a homogeneous consistency
- Add the oats, yeast, honey and chocolate chips.
- Cook 2 to 3 minutes in the microwave
- Unmould the cake on a plate, being careful because it is very hot!
- Enjoy your bowl-cake with your favourite toppings!
And here you are with 4 delicious recipes to make for a brunch, in just a few minutes with just a microwave! Enough to delight your friends and especially you!
